Daniel Menaker is the author, most recently of A Good Talk: The Story and Skill of Conversation, and of the novel The Treatment as well as two books of short stories. The former Executive Editor-in-Chief of Random House and fiction editor of The New Yorker , he currently edits the Grin & Tonic essay series -- which appears in the B&N Review -- for the Barnes & Noble Nook. Daniel Menaker's reviews and other writings have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Slate.
