Mark Twain is the pen name of Samuel Clemens (1835-1910), the prolific author and journalist whose best-known books include The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Life on the Mississippi, Roughing It, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, and many other works of fiction and nonfiction.
